Promote Residual Affiliate Programs To Earn Additional Income

If you are planning to go online to make money selling products and promoting events and programs, you would do well also by becoming an affiliate marketer and promote residual affiliate programs to earn additional income.

You can become an affiliate marketer when you sign in to an affiliate program in order to promote a product and direct traffic to the merchant's website. If that effort converts into an action like an opt in, an email, or a purchase of the product or even giving a simple postal code, you can get compensation. In fact there are many ways of compensation terms; like percentages of commission, large commission payments, lifetime commissions and many other benefits.

With some affiliate products, you can even get lifetime commissions too. But although all these benefits can add up to a considerable online income, you can be even more profitable by considering the promotion of residual affiliate programs.

Even though usually, residual affiliate programs don't pay big percentage commissions for sales directed by the promoter to the merchant's website, it is a mistake not to use them to earn additional income. Do you think it is a correct decision to ignore these kinds of affiliate programs?

Well... for sure you would be leaving money on the table if you don't promote them. Why? Because with residual affiliate programs you would be getting paid ongoing and regular payments as opposed to just one time commission for an ordinary affiliate commission.

If one merchant pays you $55 for getting a customer buying his product and another gives you $5 for every single customer that subscribes to that product on a monthly basis, it is easy to see there is opportunity with this model to earn a lot of money too; you'll get paid for as long as that subscriber stays with the product, if this product is for example, some video making teaching course.

You can earn considerable income with the one time commission model of affiliate programs, but don't forget residual affiliate programs and your income will be much greater.

Affiliate marketing in general, as a business model, is great because it is so much cheaper to run and operate than an offline business model and much less risky as well since you are never likely to incur in great costs or need large sums of money or personnel to run your business. You can run your business online, with the use of a PC and working from your garden or in the kitchen, without the need for much space for inventories or maintenance of any kind.

Hardly any kind of customer-affiliate interaction is needed, since it is the merchant's website normally that takes care of the customer's needs. You as an affiliate, only need to promote de product, to guide the customer towards making the purchase and the rest is done by the merchant or product owner.

You can later go on to make your own products as well and get your own affiliates too to promote them. This will cost more time and effort, but the rewards will be much greater and of course well worth it. Your sales can be increased so much more with the help of your affiliates as well as with your expertise as a previous affiliate, still promoting other people's products and being a promoter of residual affiliate programs too.

Article Marketing or Pay Per Click: Which Is Best?

Article marketing and PPC (pay-per-click) advertising are the two main methods of online marketing. Both are dependent on strong keywords and dispersal to be most effective in driving traffic to your site.

What is Article Marketing?

Article marketing is the principle of contributing content to article directories which then links back to your website. It also includes guest blogging. These articles create back links to your site, which helps to boost your ranking in search engines.

The keywords you include will also affect your search engine ranking. Including strong keywords in your title, first paragraph, and last paragraph is most effective. However, you should always write for entertaining, informative, and readable content over keywords.

Articles should be about topics related to your website and should provide the reader with some information that he or she didn't know. It should also make them want to click through the link to your page. Leave them wanting just a little bit more than you've told them, and include a clear call to action.

What is PPC?

In pay-per-click, you sponsor a link at a search engine and pay a fee to the provider every time your link is clicked. Sponsored links are clearly labeled for the purposes of full disclosure. The best known provider of PPC is Google AdWords, though Bing Adcenter (a Yahoo! and Microsoft joint venture) is also popular.

The downside to PPC is that the top keywords are often fairly expensive. This is because competition is high, and the usual bid model drives up the price. Everyone who wants to purchase a certain keyword places a bid for how much they are willing to pay. Then, when someone searches for that word, the highest bid wins and that advertiser is displayed. Often, multiple ad spots are available. In this case, they are displayed in the order from highest bidder down.
This makes choosing the right balance of keywords and cost something of an art. It requires you to be very attentive to your analytics so you can drop the keywords which just aren't bringing in revenue.

PPC ads appear not only on search engines, but on third-party websites which have partnered with the PPC provider. These are called contextual ads because the ads which are displayed are chosen on the basis of relevance to the site, according to keyword similarity. So, for example, a horse stable's website might display ads for tack or veterinary equipment.

Effectiveness

PPC effectiveness is fairly easy to track. By adding code to your URLs, you can easily see the conversion rates - that is, the number of people who click your ad who become customers or regular visitors - for each campaign, keyword, and specific ad copy. Google AdWords provides you with many tools to help you track your PPC, and your blogging platform may do so as well.

It's a good idea to create discrete campaigns for each keyword for this reason. That way, you will be able to compare the effectiveness of each keyword on its own. To evaluate your ad copy, create at least two ads for each keyword. If one performs particularly well or particularly poorly, you should be able to figure out what the difference is.

Regularly check your analytics so you aren't wasting money. You can tweak your current ads or create new ones to make them stronger, based on your feedback.

Articles of 400 to 600 words, broken into short paragraphs, have been found to be most effective. They're easy to get through and deliver the information concisely without a lot of filler.

Another thing about articles that can't be said of PPC is that your readers have the ability to share what they find interesting, either by linking to social media or emailing to others. As advertising for your site, this is some of the best, because it comes with a personal recommendation. You are seen as a professional, trusted source, which builds loyalty and reputation, both of which are essential for online marketing.

This is why compelling content and saying something new is so important. It's why you have to keep in mind your human readers and not just keywords and positioning.

Cost and Return on Investment

Article marketing is essentially cost-free to you, unless you pay someone to write for you.PPC, especially for top keywords, can become pricey. You need to set yourself a firm budget and stick to it. To calculate your return on investment (ROI) for PPC, consider your profit margin, sales volume, and conversion rate.

Profit margin is the amount that you make from each sale after costs have been covered. If you're not selling a product but using advertising on your site to generate income, then consider the cost of the advertising relative to how much you earn from each ad.

Conversion rate was defined above.
Now look at the formula:
(Number of sales x profit in dollars) / number of visitors = dollar value of each visitor
This is your maximum cost per click which you should not exceed or you will end up losing money on the deal.

Calculating ROI on article marketing is a bit trickier, though you could say that since your investment is essentially zero, even one conversion is a positive ROI. But if you think more about it being your time spent writing and distributing articles, then you can see it's still important to calculate and evaluate.

Review your analytics to see which articles are sending you the most traffic and which are sending the least. Now, you need to look for characteristics which may account for the discrepancy. For example, articles with a strong call to action at the end may be outperforming those which simply taper off.

And, as always, the quality of the content is the most relevant factor.

Longevity

This is another area in which article marketing pulls ahead. Articles can remain relevant for a long time, years in some cases. This doesn't mean that you only have to put up articles once and then sit back while the hits rolls in. you definitely need to continually put out fresh content.

However, if you've got a really quality piece, people will continue to find value in it over more recently composed but less informative or poorly written material.

Conclusion

Ultimately, the determination of whether article marketing or PPC is "better" will come down to your unique situation. For most people, the factors of longevity and return on investment give the edge to article marketing. Many people use both as elements of a well-rounded marketing campaign.

Evaluate your analytics regularly to help you refine and narrow your strategies, throwing more effort into the areas which are bringing you the most traffic, conversion, and financial rewards.

Affiliate Success Checklist

Have you struggled to make real money promoting affiliate products? Most people do and many simply give up.

The thing is affiliate marketing can be both simple and very rewarding when done right.

Making money as an affiliate is the easiest way to get started making money online. And if you persist and avoid buying hyped-up products that waste both time and money, you can build a successful Internet business.

I know from experience that affiliate marketing can create a full time income and requires little or no overhead or technical skills.

But affiliate marketing is a business, and like any business it must be built on a solid foundation and requires learning a few new skills.

With that said let me share with you the checklist I used when starting out, the same one I use today.

I am approached daily by people who want me to promote their product or do a joint venture with them.

This is the checklist I use to evaluate those requests.

1. MAKE SURE THE PRODUCT YOU CHOOSE MATCHES YOU

The key is to pursue your main passion first. Once you learn how to promote on the Internet, move on to different products.

Learning the process of marketing will be easier, and more fun, if you are promoting something you know and love.

This is true for two reasons.

First, if you promote something you know about you don't have to learn both the process of marketing and gain product knowledge at the same time.

This can lead to confusion and information overload.

Second, being passionate about a product (or subject) means you will know automatically who will make a good customer and what their interests are --- because they will be like you!

Bonus reason -- it's easier to stay motivated when you are promoting something you believe in!

Getting and staying motivated is a big key in any successful endeavor.

Once you've found a product you want to promote...

2. CHECK IT OUT

The key now is to look for quality. The quality of the products you promote matters greatly.

Here's why...

You are going to build a list of buyers of your product (yes, this can be done as an affiliate) and so those customers need to be happy with you AND the product.

If they are they will buy again. Now you are a trusted friend, advising them about how they can benefit from your recommendation.

Ask yourself this question: is the product or service you are promoting something you would bring to your best friend?

If yes, move ahead.

If not, you may want to keep looking.

3. TALK TO THE PRODUCT OWNER

Here is a radical idea.

You should be able to talk via email to the person who owns the company BEFORE spending your hard earned money and precious time promoting their product.

And I'll go one step further -- that person should be helpful in their reply.

When you can contact the owner, or his or her staff, and get real help and answers you will have found a company that cares about affiliates.

That is what you want.

So now you have chosen a product, feel confident about the quality and have had your questions answered by a real person.

The next step is vital - you need to know how well the product converts.

Conversion simply means that for every 100 people who visit the site a certain number buy something.

So if 100 people visit the site and 5 of them buy that would be a 5% conversion.

For most established products you will promote you can expect this number to range from.5% to about 10%.

Anything higher or lower and you need to be careful about them telling you the truth.

There are MANY variables that effect conversion (I will cover them in an upcoming article) and many ways for you to be lied to, so you need to be careful here.

5. WHAT IS THE COOKIE DURATION?

Most affiliate programs track using 'cookies', small files downloaded to the visitor's computer.

It identifies you as the affiliate so you will be paid the commissions.

You need to know two things about this cookie, that will affect how you market.

How long does it last? (Cookies generally expire after X days)Can it be overwritten?

If a company has a short cookie duration, focus on ads that make the sale now.

If they have a longer cookie duration you can use other, more passive methods. Like encouraging people to get free information to learn more about the product.

You also want to know if the cookie can be overwritten, something called a "last affiliate" policy.

This means the LAST link clicked will get the sale.

So if someone who first learned about product X from you clicks another person's affiliate link to buy that person gets the commission, not you.

This is a common practice in affiliate marketing.

Neither of these factors are necessarily good or bad ( Amazon has an incredibly short cookie but people still make fortunes as affiliates for them), but they are worth knowing.

6. DO YOU EARN 'BACKEND' COMMISSIONS?

Do you get paid when someone you refer buys a second product? It's good, but less common.

The merchant will feel that he or she is doing the work for the second sale so they should not have to pay a commission.

The affiliate will feel that the merchant would never have had that customer if not for them and so they earned the commission.

Both valid points.

Some people won't promote without this. Others look for a middle ground.

You will ultimately have to decide what works best for you.

Some sites even promise "lifetime" commissions where you earn on every sale the customers you send ever make.

7. DO YOU EARN RENEWAL COMMISSIONS?

This is another hotly debated issue that deserves your attention.

While you can't control many of these things, knowing about them gives you the knowledge you need to make wise choices.

The key question to ask is this - if you send someone to a site where they pay a monthly or quarterly fee, do you get paid every time or just once?

8. DO THEY SUPPORT YOU?

Most people don't know how to write ads and create banners or graphics, so the affiliate program should provide these tools as well as some training on how to sell their products.

You should expect reasonable support from an affiliate program, just as you do when you buy a product.

One of the best ways to find an affiliate program is to think about a product you love and visit their site to look for an affiliate program link.

Another option is to visit affiliate program portals like Clickbank, PayDotCom or RapBank. I know there are many others - those just sprung to mind.

There you will find many products that can earn you commissions ranging from 5% to 100%!

Forums are excellent resources to learn what really works because you can often communicate with people promoting a particular product right now. Just Google your interest + forum to see what you come up with!

Here is an additional resource to help you succeed as an affiliate fast.

Allan Gardyne of AssociatePrograms.com. Great advice from a guy who has "been there and done that."

Start by thinking about three programs or products you have been promoting, or want to promote, and see if they qualify for your involvement by using the criteria above.

If so, jump in!

Internet Marketing Is Hard - Which Strategy To Earn Via Affiliate Programs Suits Your Circumstances?

It was a number of years ago when I first considered the Internet as a means to make money online. Unfortunately I was not in the right frame of mind or in a realistic position to make a success of an online business. I did invest in a course which talked about pay per click and AdWords which I tried to do but I simply didn't have the motivation to persevere and was working in a Corporate Management position which was a mental drain if I am honest.

Fast forward 7 years and I am now in a completely different place and the time is right. I have spent the past year learning the right way to do things online and that together with my business background seems to have brought all of the pieces together. My daughter has started nursery allowing me time to do this properly and I am not in any rush. Rome wasn't built in a day and likewise a solid business takes time to build and grow. If you consider Internet Marketing as a way to get rich quick you will very likely become disappointed and give up.

In addition you need to choose a strategy that suits your circumstances. If you are working full time but have money to spare you can look at a business plan where you outsource some of your tasks, perhaps a pay per click campaign in a high demand niche, such as health. I am somebody who after being in a well paid job is now a self employed single mum so for me it has been very difficult to balance time and money. What I have learnt is that you must just do something every day.

There are so many aspects of internet marketing that need to be learnt, it is a minefield and if you miss one part you are likely to fail. You need to understand what you are doing, have a clear goal in mind and stick to it. I am going to cover a couple of strategies and describe the circumstances that may suit each.

Affiliate Marketing.

If we talk about Affiliate Marketing we are straight away getting into a mixing pot of potential failures unfortunately. Yes, the principal is easy, you advertise on behalf of a product or service and get paid a commission for the sale. In reality there are many people trying to do the same, the competition is huge and the method you use to get traffic is a strategy in itself.

Pay per click.

I personally do not use PPC at the moment as I just don't have the funds to do so. If you are someone with capital to invest this may be a strategy for you however it is not as simple as just paying and making sales. You also need to be able to write good ads that will make people want to click through. Getting into the mind of the buyer is an interesting topic that I have studied but is too detailed to cover in this article.

SEO

This is the method that I favour currently as I have learned how to properly research keywords, utilise exact match domains and get free traffic. This method is good if you have time to invest and can be done for little capital investment. It is an Internet Marketing Strategy that I think often gets put into the too hard basket but it is actually not too difficult if you learn properly. It also is the best way to get a sustainable traffic source as once the hard work is done you are likely to remain high in the search engine rankings.

These are just two ways you can work and earn from affiliate programs but there are strategies within strategies so if you are considering buying any kind of training package you should beware of get rich quick and autopilot offerings. It doesn't work like that.

If you are interested in getting further information you can visit my website where I aim to provide useful resources to those wishing to learn how to make money online through Affiliate Programs the right way.

Earn Money Fast With Affiliate Marketing - Dispelling the Myths

The famous actor Woody Allen once made this cryptic comment: "Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons." A funny saying for sure, but less so if you are one struggling to make ends meet. Perhaps you may ask yourself, " How can I enjoy a more stress-free retirement and more financial security? " One way that anyone can do this is to earn money fast with affiliate marketing. For many, this approach makes good financial sense.

As a home-based businessman myself, my intention is to help you dispel the myths about making money online. Likely you've been exposed to many phony scams that promise to make you millions overnight. Many companies exist on the Web that help people generate a bigger cash flow. Unfortunately there are many others who simply want to take your money and run. Let's try to unravel some of the confusion and help put you on the right path.

Before dispelling some of the myths about online marketing, let's talk a little bit about what affiliate marketing is, and how it can be used to produce more wealth now. Essentially, it's "a marketing approach where advertisers pay affiliates for referring their products". When sales are made, as an affiliate you will earn commissions

Let's discuss briefly some of the common myths about Internet marketing...

Myth # 1: " I don't have the knowledge or experience to set up my own online business "

Truthfully, it's a common fear when anyone starts something new. Initially, many of us spent money foolishly on lucrative offers that didn't work. We all realize, however, that competence didn't happen overnight in our previous careers either. Fortunately in time, as we gain greater experience and insight, the fog begins to lift and success becomes more achievable.

While starting up a new home-based business can seem overwhelming at first, with the right training and work ethic, you can achieve a bigger cash flow in as little as a few months. Avoid the tendency to sell yourself short and lose the future you deserve. Success almost always follows hard work and dedication!

Myth # 2: " If I go ahead with this, how can I find a profitable niche? "

Where many people make their mistake with a new online business is in promoting a service or product that has high demand, but even greater competition. Popular items like "computers" or "digital cameras", for example. How to avoid this? Start by focusing on your interests and areas of expertise. You may have a hobby like "kite flying" that others would like to know more about. Perhaps you have a background in "business consulting". The list goes on and on.

Successful online marketers will always tell you that your primary motivation needs to be "helping others solve a problem.", not just focusing on building more wealth now. Rest assured, there are many valuable Internet resources and training programs available. Two great ones that come to mind are "Google AdWords" and " Integrity Coaching". These, and others, will help you narrow your search. One suggestion - if you decide to sign up with an online company, make sure that both their reputation and training programs are sound.

Myth # 3: " I'm on a limited budget, and can't afford to invest in this "

Most businesses will need to spend some money to become successful, and so the idea that spending any money at all is foolish may be an irrational one. On the other hand, if someone tries to talk you into spending thousands on something you've never done before, you should be suspicious.

You may be surprised to know that most online companies don't operate that way. Some companies will let you join for free, and also provide the training at no cost. Others may require a nominal fee under $ 100, and offer optional upgrades along the way.

In almost all cases, a legitimate company that you affiliate with will supply you with a money back guarantee, should you decide to cancel within 60 days. As with any investment, your intention to earn money fast needs to be weighed against the potential risk involved.

Dispelling myths about online marketing can help you enhance your financial future and achieve your dreams - may yours be realized!

Affiliate Marketing: Does It Really Work?

Contrary to popular belief, there are many affiliate marketers that make a very good living online. This involves many years of trial and error to find that method that can be exploited for high revenue. The use of the word exploited might imply something sinister or unethical, but I really don't mean that.

The need to find the right products that are popular or have the right following to make high profits. It is important to create the right campaigns to make those profits, if you don't, you might as well be wasting time and money. This is the basics behind promoting products and understanding your niche.

Research is paramount in finding the right niche and products. Within this research is learning about conversions and gravity. This research will insure your profitability for your campaigns to promote these products.

The use of the internet allows you to reach a lot of people, or market, to promote and sell products. "Sell", such a nasty little word, almost taboo to even think of it. The idea of actually selling something to the masses is, in fact, the bases behind what we do. There will never be a shortage of products to promote. More products are created or discovered everyday.

Marketers use Amazon, Google, Yahoo and like services to generate sales. Even though, these are good, however, everyone looks for the long-term goal. It's important to be an affiliate in a well established company with popular and solid products. Of course, this also takes a little research on your part. I always feel that the best way to learn things is to just jump in and get your feet wet.

One way to meet that long-term goal for online income would be to combine affiliate and network marketing into one program. Using this method gives you fast upfront revenue with the residual money of a network program. On the affiliate side, you promote products that are the actual tools for your network marketing side. When I say the affiliate side I mean such things like Domain Names, Web Hosting and/or PC Utilities. These are needed tools for most network marketing businesses. Some of these are billed month to month and pay a small percentage to the affiliate. Those tools funnel into the larger network business for which the members in your down-line can duplicate for their own business.

These are just some ideas and ways to look at affiliate marketing. Anyone with even a small bit of creativity, can come up with ways to make your business grow and be profitable.

Online Affiliate Marketing

It is a fact of life that everyone has to earn a living, even the richest people all around the world work day in and day out with their multi-million businesses. Work is in the normal ecology of things that it would be impossible for anyone to just stay at home and do nothing. But, in modern times that the internet and technology have brought convenience at the top of its game, it is no longer impossible to work in the comforts of your own home, by just having a computer and a good internet connection. The internet has become a universe of its own where what people do in the real world can be done virtually. Even the business sector shifted marketing efforts online from the traditional media. Online affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based advertising method that businesses do to get them known as well as give business to independent owners of the website.

It is easy to put up a website and get it running for people to see, and there are moneymaking opportunities if you sign up for online affiliate marketing. The more you get to promote a business through the content of your website; you can get commissions either based on a sale made, directed traffic or turning a random visitor into a business lead. Earning potential is greatly high on affiliate marketing, like Empower Network, one of the best affiliate programs to date; they pay their affiliate sites from $25 to $4,625 per sale and up to a possibility of a 100% commission. But, how do you prepare to become a publisher for a merchant site, and assure that both you and the business will earn and not waste time and effort? Here are some things to consider:

If your knowledge about online affiliate marketing is equal to a cat's knowledge about astrophysics then you need to get your resources ready. Get the right kind of training that will arm you with all information that needs to be known. Never go into a business venture when the only things you know are what you heard. You would never go bungee jumping unless you know how the cable is tied right? Some online marketing programs like Empower Network are one of those companies that provide good training. Be wise and don't leave anything to chance. Read books, research online and watch videos on what the experts have to say.
Upon conceptualizing your website, create a layout that will give you enough space for whatever you are advertising and to where you will display your content. No one likes to read much as well visit a website that is disorganized and one that looks like an ad catalog. Affiliate programs will also look into this to consider whether or not you could be a viable publisher. The more you take time to create a perfect space that's easy on the eyes, the more people will take notice of your material.
Target a specific topic or concept for your online space. How organized your space looks is as equally important as how organized your content is. Consistency and cohesiveness will attract a certain kind of audience. If this is properly identified, affiliate marketing brands or products relating to that will be more specific and target driven.

Online affiliate marketing could be your kind of tea as long as you know the right kind of scones to complement it with. You can even earn more than what you may possibly earn from your average day job and that could be your reality. Imagine the time you can spend more with your kids or on your other interests if you are making a living on your own allowable time frame and not a rigid 9 to 5 work schedule.

How to Make Money Thanks To Affiliate Marketing

How much do you know about affiliate marketing? If you have any kind of experience with selling products or feel passionate about a certain hobby, you could easily become a successful affiliate marketing agent. Read this article to learn more about affiliate marketing programs.

What kind of products would you be interested in selling? Feeling passionate about your products and being knowledgeable about these products will definitely help you generate more sales. However, you have to keep in mind that you will be more successful if there is a large target audience for the products you are selling. Do not attempt selling a product if there is no demand for it, regardless of how passionate your feel about the product. Take the time to learn more about different products test them and compare prices.

Once you know what you want to sell, you should compare different programs offering these products. You should know that some programs are much better than others. In fact, certain programs make money by requiring members to purchase large quantities of products instead of actually selling items to customers. You should look for a program with a good reputation, quality resources, a wide selection of products to choose from and competitive prices. Find out how you will get paid and how the program will keep track of the sales you generate. Read reviews and talk to affiliate marketing agents to learn more about different programs.

Define your target audience. Use the resources offered by the program you joined to learn more about your customers and do some research on your own. It is important that you adapt your strategy to your target audience. Keep in mind that your target audience can evolve as new trends appear. Stay up to date with what interests your target audience and which technologies these people use. You need to find an efficient way to reach out to your audience. If you find that your customers are likely to shop online, create a blog or a site, join social networks or create a newsletter. If your customers do not shop online, find events you can attend to present your products.

Make plans for the long term. You might not generate a lot of sales at first, but you will never be successful if you give up right away. Keep track of your results by using a visitor counter for your site and looking at the statistics your program gives you access to. You should establish monthly goals in term of sales and outreach. Experiment with new strategies if you feel like you need to reach out to more people and work on improving the relationship you have with your customers, for instance, by offering gift cards or free samples. Measure the impact of each strategy and do not hesitate to abandon the techniques that do not work.

You should consider joining an affiliate marketing program if you are ready to commit to this activity. You will find that selling products for an affiliate marketing program is very rewarding and even fun.

If you don't want to start from scratch, you can always modify the theme you are already using. Use these free themes as a guideline to make edits to your blog's current theme to get it ready for the ads.

Try and contain your excitement when you first get started on this new opportunity. You want to try and promote too many different companies and products right away. You will maximize your earnings by focusing on just a few great products. Start by casting a wide net for products that are within your topic. Once that is done, research and test until you narrow down the field to just a select few. Choose the right products for your readers and enjoy the money that comes flowing in.

In the blog format, personal reviews are going to be extremely important to the success of your product. Blogging is all about establishing good relationships with your readers, so you can use that relationship to help or hurt your overall business. Trying too hard to sell these products, especially those of low quality, can seriously hurt your readership. On the other hand, recommending great products to your readers can actually help to build your total brand and endear yourself with your readers. By informing your readers of what you personally found good or bad about a product, you will help them make the right decision and increase their happiness.

Limit yourself to a solid review of your product and then only mention it when it is relevant to the conversation. You will lose readers if you start selling products instead of providing useful and entertaining information. If you lose sight of the purpose of your blog you will lose your readers as well. This is the biggest mistake that bloggers make when they first venture into affiliate marketing. By quietly promoting products when appropriate, you can keep your blog's format informational, as well as selling one or more products.

Keeping these things in mind will help you monetize your blog without losing readers. While making money is your end goal, you need to make sure it is done correctly. You now have two job titles, blogger and affiliate marketer, so you will need to remain up-to-date in both fields. Each job will complement each other and help you achieve overall success.

Become Successful With Affiliate Marketing And These Tricks

To a beginner, affiliate marketing may seem complex and confusing. However, taking the time to research and understand the process can be well worth the effort, as affiliate marketing has the potential to be a very lucrative venture. Fear not, the tips below will assist you in learning more about affiliate marketing.

Examine each affiliate separately to determine which ones are the most profitable, and eliminate any that aren't generating a decent profit. Make sure to review your affiliates to see their performance. Removing low-performing affiliates will allow you to create room for advertisers who will earn you more money.

Your newsletter should be written in a style that will encourage people to join your email list. Most internet users do not like getting emails as much as they used to when the internet first became popular. Now, people aren't as excited as they once were and will do whatever it takes to protect their inbox from spam; if you can make your newsletter appealing, it will help a lot.

To increase success in your affiliate marketing, you need to rely on both front-end and back-end sales. If customers come back to make further purchases of a product after you have referred them to it, you should be getting commissions on these sales. Find companies that give you a commission on back-end sales to maximize your profits.

Hire an accountant to do your finances. You can hire a person, or go through a program. A working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping is essential for when you start making profits. Whatever method you decide to use, set it up prior to starting your affiliations so that it's ready to use when you go live.

Get your readers to trust you. If your readers find your content useful and see you as a trustworthy person, they are more likely to support you by buying products through your affiliate links.

Anyone who wishes to become a more successful affiliate should be willing to learn all aspects of marketing practices. A common mistake affiliates make is to jump at the first free program they see. Free methods are not necessarily bad; however, you want options that are the most effective towards the goals you are trying to attain.

Real time statistics can be an extremely helpful tool for you. This lets you know how many users have been to your site and how many of them have made a purchase.

Before you do this, make some solid judgments regarding the products you wish to link. You might need to teach yourself how to arrange your affiliate links, but once you know how, you will see more regular profits.

There are some affiliate programs that will pay 100% commission that are completely legitimate. Before you completely ignore this opportunity, read the details. Companies offering 100% commissions operate by paying you only on upfront sales, while they retain any profits from subscriptions. You can make good money from these so look closely when you see offers that resemble this.

Join social networking sites, forums, and email lists devoted to sharing strategies related to affiliate marketing. The internet is full of message boards that will let you share things like ideas or graphics with other users, and get input from others when you need it.

Affiliate marketing does not need to be as hard as it seems. There is work that has to be put in, but your website will certainly benefit from it, as a result. Given the advice in this article, you should be well prepared to tackle the labor involved with affiliate marketing, and start setting your goals toward success.

By the way, do you want access to a complete follow-up sales funnel that generates 100's of leads to your business every day and generates "boats loads" in sales per day?

Affiliate Marketing Program

As everyone earning online knows, there are lucrative ways to earn cash on the internet. The cyberspace is like a bag of goods for those who know where to set their sights on. Affiliate marketing programs are one of the most coveted goods in the loot bag. A lot of personal website owners as well as merchant websites are turning to affiliate marketing to earn money and to advertise and spread the word about their products and services, accordingly.

To comprehend fully this method of marketing, you as a publisher can generate income if you provide either traffic, sales or leads for the merchant. In an affiliate marketing program, there are 3 sides to the equation; the merchant site running the affiliate program, you as publisher earning from it and the customers. At most times affiliate marketing is often overlapped with simple display advertising but affiliate marketing is extremely performance based, it follows a much complex tier of website activity. A merchant and an affiliate site can come into three different kinds of contract on how a publisher site can make money. From Pay-per-Click, Pay-per-Sale or Pay-per-Lead the income you earn will depend on whether your commission is based on a percentage or on a fixed rate. Empower Network known to be one of the leading affiliate marketing programs are famous for the amount of commission they give their affiliate sites. For each sale made, commissions can range from $25 to $4,625 to a point that Empower Network would even give out 100% commission.

With running your personal site, know that affiliate programs will also target those prospective publishers that are focused on a niche. Basically merchant sites will only consider you as a partner or affiliate if in ways they can see that your content has a sensible connection to whatever products they are promoting. These affiliate programs will also want to identify a target audience and that there is a greater probability that your readers will eventually click through their links.

Payments made on affiliate marketing program are done in two levels. First, you get your payments or commissions like in a network marketing scheme through the sales or through the people you direct to them. At the same time, some programs offer more flexibility to earn, if a customer had done repetitive transactions with the merchant site and that customer was referred from your site then you get commissions from every sale made.

Just be sure that the movement and the activity on your site are well administered and managed that everything is correctly taken accounted for. You want to be assured that whatever activity is made are paid for accordingly and through this your business relationship with the program provider is strengthened.

So, now that you know the basics of how affiliate marketing programs works, you can start earning money both online and offline on your spare time. You do not need to revolve your life and time for it to be successful, just like what Empower Network, it's all about running a business while having a life.

Is ClickBank For You?

Lately, people are feeling scammed; they are upset, disappointed, angry and confused.

While this isn't great, we've all been there.

My first few years online were weird and confusing, while I tried to learn a new language and listen to the gurus.

I fully understand people feeling ripped off when they buy products that massively under-deliver, and leave them disappointed. In this economy you simply can't afford to waste money on disappointing products.

BUT there is a difference in being disappointed and being scammed.

So, here is my take on ClickBank and whether the company is a scam or not.

The Positive...
To my knowledge, they have never missed paying anyone (merchant or affiliate) on time. I believe they have some odd rules about getting your money if you're a new affiliate, though, so it's important know how to get your money.

ClickBank works great for online vendors by collecting sales money, paying affiliates on time and sending you balances. They pay once a week and handle filing tax forms and more. They collect and remit VAT where needed so we don't have to.

Unfortunately, this isn't cheap.

Vendors pay much more to process orders via ClickBank than almost any other payment processor, like PayPal for example. However, there is no payment processor online who offers more convenience to sellers.

The Negative...
I believe ClickBank should clean house, removing vendors promising success with "three click" software products, and cracking down on fake screenshots. Vendors shouldn't be allowed to show screenshots of their entire account history, pretending it's money made as an affiliate.

Happily, I believe they are moving in the right direction. They have recently released a number of updates to their terms of service that will dramatically impact the false scarcity and outright deception that we all dislike.

These are simply my own opinions based on being a ClickBank vendor and affiliate for over 10 years, receiving awards each year for being a top affiliate and top vendor. I say this only to say that I have some experience with them, I like them and hope very much for the best.

This company has a rich history of helping people who are getting started online make money with affiliate marketing. Their site is easy to use and they offer very good customer service in my experience. But they have leaned toward the fast buck artists by introducing selling methods like "one click upsells" and other tools.

To be clear about it, I don't think up-sells are evil. But I do think it's wrong to make it look like your product will do everything a person needs done for $37 and then subject buyers to endless "one time offers" that make them feel stupid or like they will miss success if they don't buy now.

My Take
I don't believe ClickBank is even close to being a scam.

Yes, they have sellers who over promise. Yes, there are seller who don't provide customer service. But this doesn't mean this company is a scam, in my view.

I believe they will clean up it's list of sellers and in fact see encouraging signs of that happening even as I write this.

I have used other payment processors, but ClickBank makes selling online easy and convenient. As an affiliate I still promote their products, althoughI don't do that as much as I used to-- due to the hyped-up sites so popular on ClickBank lately. There are so many wonderful products online now that relying on ClickBank is, in my view, a mistake.

My advice is this - learn as much as you can about selling ClickBank products and promote the products you use and believe in. An honest recommendation based on your experience is always the best way to sell things online, especially if you are promoting products to your own mailing list.

The "How to" of Affiliate Marketing - Part 1

Have you have ever considered starting an online business by purchasing an Affiliate Program? Affiliate Marketing is simply driving traffic to a product you do not own. In return for your efforts you receive a percentage of the total sale from the Vendor. In Affiliate Marketing you use a number of methods to drive traffic to the product you are promoting. Sounds simple enough, right? We'll, it can be if you have the skills and determination. If you think you have what it takes, read on...

Okay, let say you live a town called Barterville. In the past 5 years Barterville's temperatures have been frequently rising to 125 degrees Fahrenheit (51.7 degrees Celsius) in the summer, Whew! Needless to say the most successful businesses in town, all market something that help people stay cool. You being an entrepreneurial thinker know a business opportunity when you see one. Now unfortunately, there is a problem. The Burger Queen you work at has cut your hours because business has been slow. So you don't have the money to invest in your dream water park, (you have coined "Big Mula"). But you do happen to know of a water park call The Tidal Wave, just on the outskirts of town? Most people don't even know about it because it's located 2 mile off the main highway, hidden by dense foliage, and no signs. After talking to the owner Mr. Peterson, you both agree upon a deal that you will bring customers to his water park. In this deal you will receive 65% of the sale on each admission ticket purchased by the customers you campaign to The Tidal Wave.

What? I know you're asking yourself "what the heck did I just read?" Well, what this story illustrates is the beginning of a relationship between you (the Affiliate), and Mr. Peterson (the Vendor). So what methods are you going to use to get people (traffic) to come to The Tidal Wave (the product)? See all you need to do now is to come up with some creative and inexpensive ways, to get people to visit and purchase a ticket at The Tidal Wave. The goal is cashing in on your 65% for the work you do promoting The Tidal Wave. The goal and success of each Affiliate Marketing sale is called the Conversion. And the Conversion in this story is the customer buying an admission ticket.

Think about how you're going to make that Conversion happen. Let the creative juices flow folks... I'll be back with part 2 soon.

Thanks for reading

Monetizing Your Website: Best Strategies

Many people dream of making money from a website, but have no idea how to go about it. The most common method is through the use of advertising. You are paid whenever a visitor to your site clicks on an ad which is displayed there. Pay-per-view advertising is also used, for which you are paid for each person viewing a page when the ad loads.

If you have an established website, you can take a look at the traffic you're already getting to determine what kinds of advertising are best suited to your current visitors. If you are setting up a website for the purposes of making money, you will go about it a bit differently.

Developing Your Site

If you're e starting a new website, you have a bit of freedom in targeting your audience. You can work backwards to some extent, choosing your advertising approach first and then building a site to support it and pull in visitors.

However, you should stick to topics about which you yourself are excited. You need to have that enthusiasm to keep your site updated and active, and your visitors will soon lose interest if you come across as uninteresting. You don't want to feel like maintaining the site is drudgery; it should be fun.

Choosing the Look

Your website needs to be attractive or you will defeat your purpose. No one wants to stay at a site which looks ugly and is hard to use. By no means should the site look like a page of ads with the content seeming to be an afterthought. Position your ads cleanly to the top, sides, and/or bottom of your page.

Include straightforward navigation on each page so your visitors can easily move forward, back, and to your home page. Use tagging and menus to help them find what they're looking for. Use images and videos to attract the eye and make your visitors want to hang around.

With more and more people using mobile web these days, you should have your site optimized for mobile so your fans can connect with you on the go, too.

Killer Content

If you're serious about making money with your website, you need more than people just visiting your site. You need them to stay and you need them to come back.

Blogging is the most direct way to go about producing content for your site. You should have a coherent topic, rather than being all over the place, unless your unique hook is your writing style. Choose something that you are going to be interested in writing about often and for the foreseeable future. Remember, keep it fun for yourself.

Your posts should go up on a regular schedule. Weekly is best, bi-weekly if you really don't have the time. Monthly is probably too infrequent for you to really develop a strong readership. If you have trouble getting out a weekly or bi-weekly post, consider working with a team or inviting guest bloggers to help you out.

Each post should end with a question. This encourages your visitors to stick around to comment, which makes them feel a part of your community. They are then more likely to come back and to tell their friends.

Search engine crawlers learn to come back more often to sites which update regularly, which will boost your ranking. Use of strong keywords and spreading external links, such as posting to social media when your posts go up, will also help your ranking, which in turn will bring more visitors to your site.

Sharing the Love

In addition to your loyal readers, you want to continually be getting new ones. This means spreading the word about your blog. You will do some of this yourself, but it's even better if your readers tell their friends.

Make it easy for them by including sharing buttons for the most popular social media sites. You can also install a plugin which automatically posts any comments to the commenter's social media page.

Be Patient, Be Organized

While it is possible to make a decent amount of money from a website, it's not something that happens overnight. So don't quit your day job right away. It's going to take some time for you to become established.

Just as with any business, you should have a clear plan about what kinds of advertising you will use, how you will promote your site, and what your goals and expectations are. This will make it much easier for you to visualize what you need to do to achieve those goals.

Schedule your activities, including spending time on marketing, interacting on social media, attending to your site, and reviewing your analytics. You don't have to do all these things every day, but you should do something every day. Make it a habit and you will be rewarded with greater gains.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is another frequently used method for making money on your website. Through these programs, you earn a commission when someone makes a purchase through your affiliate link. Affiliate programs exist for many online shopping websites, multi-level marketing organizations, and for various products. A Google search will turn up many possibilities for you to choose from.

Track Your Traffic

It's important for you to understand where your traffic is coming from. This will allow you to determine which of your marketing strategies is most successful, and will enable you to target your advertising more directly. The popular blogging platforms include analytics, and you can always use Google's powerful and customizable free tools to evaluate your site.

You will see how many visits your site has received daily and how those visitors got there. With this information, you will be able to focus your marketing efforts more narrowly to the places where your visitors are actually coming from, and develop improved strategies to attract attention where you haven't been doing as well.

Subscriptions

Another way to make money is to sell subscriptions to a private members area. The content and features there need to be genuinely premium or you're going to be processing a lot of refunds. Don't be greedy, either. Your goal should be to get a large number of subscribers each of whom pays a reasonable amount.

To figure out how much to charge, look at other sites with similar subscriptions to yours and make a judgment call. To encourage people to join, describe your price as a "special rate" or "limited-time discount," even if you don't plan to raise the price. This isn't really deceptive; after all, you could choose to raise the price at any time - but it does make people more likely to take advantage of your program.

Conclusion

It is possible to make money with a website, but it's not particularly easy. You need to be dedicated to keeping the site fresh, with compelling content, and use good marketing techniques to spread the word. Use your analytics to strengthen your approach. Stick to it and you will soon be making money!

What Is Affiliate Marketing?

A lot of people spend a good chunk of their day online; some do it for work while others do it to relax and communicate with others. Millions of people have joined social networking sites while others have gone to blogging and putting up their own personal websites. But, did you know that in all the hours spent online from writing a blog post or updating a website you can also earn some money? Affiliate marketing is one way you can profit from your blog or your website.

So, what is affiliate marketing? To define it simply, affiliate marketing is when a business or brand pays an affiliate when a customer buys from the business due to the promotion of the latter. Meaning, if an affiliate site or your blog markets a brand and consumers buy it because of your marketing efforts, you then get paid by the brand. If you want to know more about what is affiliate marketing or you want to earn from this marketing style then you can join different affiliate programs offered online. There are a series of programs that you can sign up for like Empower Network. Known to be one of the biggest affiliate programs online, you can earn from $25 up to a whopping $4,625 per sale you make. In some ways affiliate marketing is often confused with other internet marketing schemes due to some overlapping qualities in its promotional methods. In various advertising methods like Pay-per-click, Search Engine Optimization, display advertising and e-mail marketing these are also used in affiliate programs, although what sets it aside is the use of product reviews on posts as well as promotions done by an affiliate site on the product or service offered by another independent business.

There are a variety of approaches how an affiliate program can help you earn for your site, like Empower Network they can help you generate a full percent of commission from sales. In this system of marketing there are different roles played for by different parties; the business/brand, you as a publisher and the customers. With this system there are also different levels of how you can earn. If the contract between you as publisher and the business you are promoting is based on a pay-per-click scheme whether or not your customer buys from the business, the fact alone that they have clicked an advertising then you as promoter already gained that commission.

If affiliate marketing is still a very vague concept to you yet you are interested to make money using this marketing strategy for your blog then it is wise to join a trusted affiliate program that you can find online. Like Empower Network, they will not only provide an upline for your website but before the program starts you will get extensive training. Through this you are not left alone to find your way in the dark and you are protected from online scams that will just rip you off with your money.

Beat Other Affiliate Marketers By Using Camtasia

Affiliate Marketing is one of the most popular methods of making money online - great if you are considering setting up your own home based business. But you have to remember that competition is fierce and you must use all options available to set yourself apart from the rest. I am about to share an absolutely fantastic way of doing just that!

How about creating, recording and publishing your own, high quality videos with Camtasia? Before you dismiss this wonderful idea, thinking it's not for you - well that's the mistake other affiliate marketers are making. You should grab this opportunity and make the most of it! Don't be afraid to give it a go! Video marketing is fast becoming an important of both online and offline marketing as it immediately engages all the senses. Imagine your customers watching your products in use and then clicking the "Buy Now" button. Isn't that what you are striving towards?

To put your mind at rest, you do not need to have any previous experience in this area. Camtasia offers step by step guides and tutorials to take you through the processes and are with you all the way. So how does it work?

• Camtasia allows you to record your actual desktop activity with just a click saving you the hassle of compiling and saving your own files. You can capture Powerpoint slides and demonstrations too. These can be enhanced by adding music or having themed or animated backgrounds. There are so many possibilities.

• Your videos can easily be converted to web pages, ready for your visitors. Nowadays people are more likely to remain on your site longer if you have video productions rather than just lots of text which they can become bored reading. Sad, but it's a fact! Demonstrations of products work really well. This also cuts down on returns and refunds as your customers are being shown exactly how to use the products. It also has the benefit of educating your customers before they even reach your site.

• Make sure your videos are visible by adding them to content pages on other authority websites too. They can also be added to any blogs. Remember everyone who watches your video is a potential customer.

Although this may be a new venture for you, it is one that is very much worthwhile researching and trying out for yourself. This could just be the piece of jigsaw you've been missing!

Using a Step by Step Guide to Making Money Online

All over the Internet are stories about how different individuals have found great wealth and success through conducting an online business. It is often hard to figure out who you can trust and whether their methods are really reliable or not. Many do not even seem to lay out any kind of plan to help you, just looking to get your money and move on to the next person, leaving you helpless to try and figure out their methodology. With a little investigation on your part you will find that using a step by step guide to making money online can be the most helpful and successful route for you.

The process will take a little leg work on your part, but in the end it will be worth it for you. Your first step should be to gather information and investigate sources available to try and find the right mentor program for you to use. Using the methods laid out by someone else can have many advantages when you are starting out.

It makes great sense when you think about it. Following along in the footsteps of someone who has made money online previously is the ideal place to start. They have already achieved success and are making things work, so why not follow along the same plan they have used?

Having the right mentor to guide you through each phase can not only make your learning and progress faster, but it will help you make money faster. Many beginning businesses just starting out online struggle for months before they have even a small success in sales. Some do not even make it that far, giving up because nothing seems to be working for them. These businesses likely do not follow along with any program, making sure they follow each step and accomplish each goal.

Sticking with the plan and following the step by step guide can be the hardest part. Often people want to jump ahead faster because they think it will help them make money quicker. However, not following through on each phase can be troublesome for your business and lead to failure. Take your time and move through each step slowly.

Commissions in Affiliate Marketing - Is It Worth It?

A few day's ago I downloaded a book from Amazon.com written by Ian Daniel titled, "E-Commerce Get It Right." The book contained some very useful information pertaining to e-commerce and marketing. One of the areas I've been wrestling with is what exactly to sell and how to best market it. I know there are countless articles, books and videos on the subject and you can get your head turned in several directions all at once if you're not careful.

Affiliate marketing can be a lucrative strategy but for all the success it can bring, if done incorrectly it can fail miserably. The basic formula is that a website owner (myself) will host another company's links, banner ads, or other product information on their own site. If a visitor clicks on these links and makes a purchase, that company pays the hosting company a fee. In essence affiliate marketing is a revenue sharing arrangement.

Affiliate programs have grown quickly since their inception. The e-commerce website, viewed as a marketing toy in the early days of the Internet, became an integrated part of the overall business plan and in some cases grew to a bigger business than the existing offline business. For affiliate marketing to work on your website you need to offer products or services that are related to your own content and ones that your visitors will be interested in buying. Now I'm looking for good affiliate marketing programs that add value to my website and ones that pay high commission rates. It takes hard work, knowledge, and time to see the financial benefits of a successful affiliate marketing program. Since I'm just starting out I'm anxious to see how all this will play out.

The industry has four core players: the merchant, the network, the publisher and the customer. The market has grown in complexity to warrant a secondary tier of players, including affiliate management agencies, super-affiliates and specialized third party vendors. The market has grown in complexity and until a couple of days ago I had very little idea as to the potential affiliate marketing can have for ones business.

The growth of the Internet has made affiliate marketing a necessary facet of a web advertising campaign. This popular approach is indispensable in selling products and services to an online audience. Fundamentally, you can grow your business and make significant money without ever having customers in the traditional sense of the word. You can reap huge financial rewards from affiliate marketing if it's done correctly but not everyone shares the same level of success.

Having said all this I look forward to how all this can help http://www.lone-trail.com/

Learn How To Make Internet Marketing Work For You

Web marketing is a growing venture on the internet. Many have found a great deal of success by applying the steps found in this article to improve their understanding of affiliate promotion and how to use it most effectively. Learn more about this exciting prospect and increase your personal income.

Be wary of affiliate marketers that do not offer real-time customer tracking services. An affiliate that cannot show a webmaster the traffic flowing from his or her site to the affiliate's site is possibly an affiliate looking to cheat the webmaster. Affiliates that rely solely on testimonials on past performance are even worse - how an affiliate used to do business has nothing to do with how they do business now!

Internet marketing is one of the best ways to reach a very diverse audience. Years ago you were limited as to who you could reach with your product advertisements. With so many people from all over the world on-line, you can now market your products, literally, to the ends of the earth.

Go through the purchase of your product as a customer. Take a good critical look at what they are going to see as they go through the buying process on the product site. Focus on any difficulties that you can advise people to watch for. Be careful of sites that try to bring people to purchase in a way that will circumvent your commissions. If you find something like that, make sure to provide step by step instructions for your customers to buy.

A great tip that affiliate marketers can use to check on the quality of the companies they are dealing with, is to contact them pretending to be a customer and check their phone order system. If you find it difficult or have a bad experience, there is a good chance your customers will feel the same way and not buy anything.

Always check the reputation of the companies you choose to do business with. You may hear stories about companies not paying the affiliate commission and getting by with it. You want to make sure you get what you are paying for and that's why it's best to check the company out before investing.

Knowing JavaScript can be extremely useful for your website. JavaScript is a client-side programming language used particularly to create special effects on your web pages. So it can create rollovers, splash screens, colored scroll bars, flashing and highlighted text, pop-up windows, mouse over effects. It can also validate forms, display date information and provide password protection.

If you're ready to take the plunge into web marketing, be cautious about what company you choose to work for. There are many illegitimate companies out there just trying to make a quick buck off of the unwary. If the company doesn't have a valid street address and telephone number and wants to conduct business only through email, you're better off avoiding it. This system makes it very easy for the company to abscond with any money you have invested in the venture, as well as any money you've earned.

As the article has shown, you have the ability to become a successful affiliate marketer. If you apply these suggestions into your own internet marketing venture, you will be certain to see terrific results. You deserve the amazing benefits that understanding and applying affiliate marketing can bring to your personal finances.

Top 5 Ways of Making It Big on the Internet

One of the most searched phrases of all times is: how to make money online? And adding a little more authenticity to it: how to find legitimate work from home? You will find so many articles written on this topic which are helpful but not really. Some of them do guide in a way that lets you start right away but mostly they do not talk specifically guiding as to how to find communities for blogging and which ones are good etc. I am a housewife and am supporting my family of five just by working online. It was not easy from day one. Initially it took me 14 to 17 hours a day when I was new to this. But now, with experience and a source of steady income, I realize it is not that difficult at all. One should have the passion and consistency for starting off and once you start earning, you will not look back.

Without further ado, here is my personal favorite list of all times.

1. Blogging

Yes, blogging! What are more than 99% of the internet users doing at this time; either reading blogs or writing one. Find your area of expertise and start writing your own blogs. If you are a technical person, you could be writing about software, latest in technology like iPads and Tablets or reviews about games and apps. Add Google AdSense, pay per click or any other services that pay you when your readership increases. Write a blog of around 1000 words and write a basic article of around 300-400 words and submit it to various web 2.0 and article directories. Place anchor texts and link them back to your blog. This will increase its traffic.

2. SEO

Search Engine Optimization is a set of techniques used to target web traffic to a particular URL. This includes a number of legal and illegal ways; better stick to the white hat SEO techniques. You can look for SEO jobs online and write articles for them to increase their traffic. This is one way. There are a lot many other ways which you can see online.

3. Freelance jobs

There are many platforms such as oDesk, Elance, Freelancer and many others that are actually paying you for the services that you provide. How? Well simply create account on them, perform some specialization tests to let others know how skilled you are, make a portfolio and find jobs in that community. oDesk guarantees hourly payments for sure which means you get paid for the time you spend working on the job. This is easier than it sounds.

4. Affiliate programs

There are so many affiliate programs out there. You could join any of them. But try the ones that are renowned and are in this business for decades. They should not require any monetary input from you or even if they do it should be very minimal for getting you started.

5. Sell products online

Search your stuff and see if you find anything you could sell. Create a seller's account on eBay and start earning. Simple and easy, it just takes some time to create a good impression as a seller.

I wish you all the best with your hunt for finding the best and the most authentic source of legitimate work from home.

A Simple Way To Make More Affiliate Cash With Less Work

Residual affiliate marketing is having other people, namely affiliates, promote and sell products for the product owner. In order to get this working properly, it is going to take some time to set up and have people follow you in your quest to build the residual element of it. However, for those who are prepared to invest the time and effort to make this work, the pay off afterwards is more than worth it. It is another part of the whole picture of how to affiliate marketing.

Look at it this way.

You decide you want to promote a product that pays a fairly good affiliate commission for minimal work, so you have the option of getting visitors to a site where they buy and you get paid for each individual sale made or, you get visitors to a site that offers an ongoing monthly paid for service where you get paid each month for them being a member of such a site. Both require the same amount of work but one will earn you an ongoing income where as the other will require you to do the same amount of work repeatedly to make each sale. Which would you choose to do?

Obviously the monthly option is the way to go, do the work once, and get paid over and over for it. In principle it is a very simple concept, recommend and promote a repeat purchase service by way of sending interested visitors to the particular website.

If that's how it works, then what's the best way to get going with the residual part of it?

Getting started with residual affiliate marketing comes down to what product or service would you like to promote, and then look closely at the affiliate site that offers the residual benefit. It certainly makes a lot more sense if you're going to get moving on this to do so with the means to generate residual income, and backed by a sound company, who operate the affiliate program, have the necessary tools in place to allow affiliates to move forward by supplying some articles, banners and templates.

Each method, single sale or recurring income both require work to make them happen, you just have to decide if the recurring method is right for you.

If you do feel this is the way to go, some affiliate marketing programs offer a two tier platform whereby you receive a commission for affiliates who join the program via someone who you have already referred, an added bonus for your efforts in getting those visitors on board.

To find out more about residual affiliate marketing and the benefits it can bring, head on over and grab your free copy of Make More Affiliate Commissions, a strategy report for affiliate marketers of all skill levels.

Tips On Social Media for Marketing

The popularity of social media isn't just for fun: it's a fantastic tool for marketing. Whatever your business, you should be taking advantage of social networking as a way to build your audience, maintain loyalty, extend your brand, and grow your market share.

Google Ranks Social Links Higher

Google has acknowledged that it's algorithm for link crawling has been tweaked to focus more on social media. Remember, Google's primary angle is to provide those who use its search services with the most relevant content - not to serve as a means of promoting sites. In other words, they're serving the searcher, not the business.

This is why quality content is so important in search engine optimization (SEO). Google is constantly revising the algorithm to better serve searchers, and it is up to marketers to keep up and to develop new strategies to build their ranking.

In terms of social media sites, this means posting things which your customers will want to share and comment on, as well as making them look forward to your postings. Below, you'll find more detail about what kinds of posts are best.

Help Your Visitors to Share

There are literally hundreds of social media sites and you simply can't maintain a presence on all of them. However, you should provide a way for visitors to your website to share or link to your content on any site they wish. This is a sharing platform providing a widget which your site visitors can use to share content directly from your page. It is constantly being updated to keep up with the fast-moving world of social media.

This buttons are available for websites, most blogging platforms, and mobile OS. You can choose from various formats which can also be further customized. Updates are easy, too. The platform is highly recommended because it keeps visitors on your page instead of having to switch away to share something.

Develop Your Strategy

The key to being successful with social media marketing is participation. People like social media because they like being able to interact with each other and with the brands they like. If you have a Facebook profile (for example) but you never post anything and don't respond to comments, you might actually be doing yourself a disservice, because

Hand in hand with this concept goes the idea that you can't spread yourself too thin across social media. You simply don't have the time to keep up with a lot of sites.

The most popular sites are Facebook and Twitter.

Choose one or two of these to start with so you can focus on developing a strong presence. Once you have got your social media marketing feet wet, and you're well into a routine with your original sites, you can add a few more if you want to. Just be careful not to end up spending more time than is cost-effective on your social media.

YouTube is often included in the general genre of social media, because of the similar way in which content is shared. Making interesting videos is a creative way to promote yourself, and if you're lucky, it will take off and be widely shared. Search engines do pick up on keywords in embedded video code, so be sure to take advantage of this.

Budget Your Time

Time is money, after all. In order to prevent yourself from spending too much time on social media, produce a calendar and set out precisely how much time you will spend and when. This will also help you to keep a regular routine of posting and commenting. In fact, structuring the time you spend on all your marketing tasks using a calendar is a great way to stay organized.

Plan to visit your social media sites at least once a week. Two or three times a week is probably even better, especially for fast-moving sites like Facebook. Spend no more than an hour posting and reading and responding to comments.

What to Post

What you post will depend to some extent on the sort of business you are marketing, but some generalizations are possible.

Your content should be something that is interesting and relevant to your target audience and should be friendly, not overly sales-y. Make it fun and compelling. New products or services, special offers, and new blog posts should all be highlighted with a post to social media.

Contests are a great way to engage your followers and get them excited about your brand. You can even give them an extra entry for sharing your post on their own profile, which can lead to hundreds of potential new customers.

Another common method of social media marketing is to offer a coupon code or discount for just your followers. Because social media moves so fast, you can have very short-term sales, down to a few hours. Customers will be thrilled to be part of an elite group.

Images and videos attract the eye more than text-only posts do. Use them often (just be sure that you have permission if you don't hold the copyright).

Do include a call to action and a link to the relevant page of your website. Avoid as much as possible linking to your home page. So-called "deep links" - those which point to pages other than the home page - are ranked more highly by search engine bots.

Be sure to read the comments that your followers post, and make a point of responding to a few so they feel you're engaging with them.

Networking

Besides direct marketing techniques, your use of social media will allow you to network with others in the same and related fields. You may find some wonderful resources which you otherwise wouldn't have. As you develop relationships with others, you will open up new opportunities for cross linking, back linking, guest blogging, and other methods of spreading external links. External links not only boost your SEO but are also effective in the old-fashioned way: getting your name out there in front of people who fit your target audience demographic.

Use Your Analytics

Be sure that you have good analytics and that you use them. You need to know where your traffic is coming from so you can maximize the good sources and drop the things that aren't working for you. Some of these tools may seem complicated to you at first, but it is well worth your effort to learn how to use and interpret them. Otherwise you are holding yourself back from success.

Social media is a powerful and essential part of your marketing toolkit. If you haven't been using it, or using it to its fullest potential, you need to change that. Spend some time every week interacting with your customers and their friends to build loyalty and gain market share.

This provides free analytics and tools which you can use even if you aren't using their widget. You'll see your daily shares and clicks, and which of your content is gathering the most traffic. Charts make it easy to visualize the data.

Conclusion

Google analytics are the classic resource. For good reason, too, as they are powerful. You can filter your site traffic by source (e.g. YouTube.com), and see how many conversions are coming from social media. A new tool lets you run content experiments to determine which combinations of content (headline, graphics, copy, offer, and call to action) lead to the most conversions.
